Charles A. Munn is a founding partner of Munn & Orth PLLC. He has extensive experience litigating cases at the federal and state court levels across New York, Delaware, California, Texas, Michigan, and other jurisdictions, and has practiced in the areas of commercial and international arbitration.

His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, government investigations, high-stakes contractual disputes, intellectual property matters, and related areas. He has represented witnesses in government proceedings and clients in negotiations with federal agencies.

A practical strategist by nature, Charles approaches all matters by examining every factor involved in a case. He is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals and has been practicing law for nearly 15 years.

• Negotiated global resolution of Medicare liens with HHS/CMS
• Represented Stryker Corporation in enforcement of non-compete agreements
• Represented Epic Games in an antitrust MDL against Google, Inc.
• Represented a subsidiary of Blackstone in a Chapter 15 case involving the bankruptcy estate of Norwegian company Norske Skog
• Represented Atlas Residential, a national real estate developer, against foreclosure of security for a loan purchased by a major distressed-debt fund
• Represented a clearing house in a FINRA broker-dealer dispute
• Won summary judgment on behalf of United Airlines to judicially foreclose on a controlling share of Avianca airlines pledged to secure a large commercial loan
• Co-authored amicus brief on behalf of SIFMA and the FIA Principal Traders' Group in support of SEC regulatory action against the NYSE and related entities
• Prevailed in arbitration on behalf of founders in an earn-out dispute with the acquirer of a cryptocurrency exchange
• Co-authored amicus brief on behalf of the Structured Finance Association (SFA) in the Hertz bankruptcy
• Represented SPI Group against a Russian Federation-owned state enterprise in a dispute over ownership of the Stolichnaya trademark
• Represented Spirit AeroSystems in indemnity disputes with Boeing, Inc. related to a spin-off agreement
• Represented NCR in one of the largest CERCLA cases ever tried
• Represented the owner of an Italian television manufacturer in fraud claims brought against Philips Electronics, Inc.
• Represented a pharmaceutical royalty buyer in a successful breach of good faith and fair dealing claim against an international pharmaceutical company
• Represented the former CEO of SCANA Corp. in securities-fraud litigation, derivative suits, RICO actions, and related cases arising from a $10 billion nuclear megaproject
